I wasn't too keen on studying the vocab section of the S.A.T.s way back in the day. But, perhaps this would have given me better incentive.A sister site to Poverty.com, FreeRice challenges users to choose the correct definition for given words. If they are correct, 10 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations World Food Program. Technically, one of the many sponsors listed on the page donates a given amount for each correct answer. But it's more fun to think of it in terms of grains.
'Tis the season to start giving...so why not fill a bowl of rice and gain a better vocabulary at the same time!
